On December 5th, Dr. Quintin (Assistant Professor & Director of the BAND Lab at McGill University) together with Elizabeth Lanzer (Music Teacher-Summit School) presented to the Summit School staff the Music project that took place last year with students from the Annex Team.
Dr. Quintin spoke about the musical interest and abilities of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and the research supporting the benefits of music education. Elizabeth shared her experience as a facilitator for the drum circle intervention.
We look forward to collaborating with Dr. Quintin and her team in future projects!
